error: C++ compiler cannot create executables


When I try to ./configure ...it stops at the following point ...
error: C++ compiler cannot create executables
What should I do to get it work???

Try installing the full glibc package rather than the runtime version only. It is located in the /slackware/l dir on cd

yep ... As you said above ...I've installed some additional gcc packages and things worked out ..
