error building glade3 slackbuild?

hey all, im trying to build the glade3 slackbuild on slackware x64 -current, but everytime i try to build it, i get the same error:

Code:

/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so: could not read symbols: File in wrong format
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[3]: *** [libgladepython.la] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/tmp/SBo/glade3-3.6.7/plugins/python'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/SBo/glade3-3.6.7/plugins'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/SBo/glade3-3.6.7'
make: *** [all] Error 2

there are no dependencies listed in the slackbuild, so i'm confused as to what could be causing this error. any ideas?

Glade3 from slackbuilds.org builds fine on 32bit -current. I have the following:

Code:

root@skamandros/home/andrew# find /usr/lib -iname 'libgtk*'
/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so
/usr/lib/libgtkspell.so
/usr/lib/libgtk-1.2.so.0
/usr/lib/libgtkspell.la
/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0.2200.1
/usr/lib/libgtkspell.so.0.0.0
/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
/usr/lib/libgtk.la
/usr/lib/libgtk.a
/usr/lib/libgtk.so
/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.la
/usr/lib/libgtkspell.so.0
/usr/lib/libgtk-1.2.so.0.9.1

must be an error with 64 bit then?

I noticed that there is a glade3 package and slackbuild in the deps directory for Robby's Xfce 4.8 packages
http://connie.slackware.com/~rworkman/xfce-4.8/

You may want to give that a try instead.

I maintain the glade3 SlackBuild on SBo, but have only tested it on 13.1.

Are you using multilib? If so try passing LDFLAGS
Code:

CFLAGS="$SLKCFLAGS" \
CXXFLAGS="$SLKCFLAGS" \
LDFLAGS="-L/usr/lib$LIBDIRSUFFIX" \
./configure \

---edit---
Confirmed adding LDFLAGS fixes the compile error.
