Equivalent to this Debian Kernel reference for Slackware?
I was doing some reading online, and I found a very informative reference about many things related to the kernel in Debian, called the Debian Linux Kernel Handbook. There are very good sections about managing kernel modules and the initrd (sections 6 and 7). I think section 6 would apply to Slackware as well as Debian, but section 7, which describes the boot process and the initrd, I think would not.
Does anyone know of an equivalent reference like this for Slackware? I am particularly interested in learning how the system boots and how modules get loaded. The more detail, the better. I want to know how everything happens for the system to get itself into a working state.
I have done some looking, but everything I have found seems very short on detail. Any help would be appreciated.

@Jostber: That second article is very helpful, and so is the Slackbook. I actually read the other two links in your post before, and they were the ones I thought were a little short on details. They are good practical references for getting things working, but I did not feel I had a very good understanding of what was going on after reading them. But I think with what is in that second article and the slackbook I have enough information to go look at the scripts themselves and see exactly how it works. Thanks!
