ELILO and kernel upgrade

What would be the procedure to switch from huge to generic kernel after a fresh install of Slackware on UEFI system, with ELILO installed as boot-loader? And later, when kernel eventually updated in -current, what would be the procedure to make ELILO to boot new kernel, after a kernel upgrade? Is eliloconfig to be run each time in alike cases, or new vmlinuz and initrd.gz could be just copied over to /boot/efi/EFI/Slackware (and /boot/efi/EFI/Slackware/elilo.conf eventually adjusted, if needed) to have ELILO to pick up the new kernel on reboot?

Also, is there a way to disable display of those penguin images on the top of screen after ELILO started booting the system?

Thanks.

OK, realized that this one has nothing to with ELILO, and adding logo.nologo into "append" section of elilo.conf would get rid of it.

OK, to answer this one myself too: Tried a bit, and it seems that there is no need to run eliloconfig except once during Slackware installation - namely, dropping vmlinuz and/or initrd.gz files into /boot/efi/EFI/Slackware, along with eventually adjusting elilo.conf file, seems to be enough for ELILO to pick up the changed kernel.
