E17 has been released!

So E17 has been released, after 10 years of development.

I've just updated SlackE17 by uploading the new Slackware packages of
EFL and E17, final version.

You can download the tarball containing all the required packages here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/slac...slacke17/0.17/

List of packages is available here:
http://slacke17.sourceforge.net/packages.html

If you want to recompile by yourself, you can use the source package,
which contains all the SlackBuilds with the E17/EFL source tarballs:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/slac...ke17-src/0.17/

Project home page: http://slacke17.sourceforge.net

Happy slacking!

It seem the links is on the old r81015 version.

I'm sorry guys, it seems there are some problems on the SourceForge side. I will to try to upload there again, but for the time being, you can get the files on my server: http://ngc891.blogdns.net/pub/projec...cke17/release/

Seems to work fine. Hopefully it won't keep wiping configurations with future versions now it's a final release.

I think SBo packages has been updated for this version as well since the last update yesterday

Thank you. Im loving this. The first one was somewhat of a revelation to me coming from windows and this looks like its going to be alot of fun to use. :)

I downloaded the x86_64 packages from Sourceforge and chose the max install option. When I tried to launch E17 from startx it walked me through the configuration steps but kept saying almost done but never completed. Any ideas?

When starting after a reboot the panel doesn't appear, and the other panel appears as static. Doesn't happen after logging out and back in. The first panel is set to invisible, so perhaps it's just the stuff on it not appearing. Only seems to happen immediately after booting.

I installed from SBo, and I gotta say it looks really, really good. I tried e17 a few years ago, and it looked pretty cool then. It just looks a little more finished and polished now.
