Hi all,
I'm trying to run two mice at the same time and after reading many posts about this, I have not been able to find a resolution theme, or a fix that works for my setup.
My Setup:
I have one mouse connected via a ps2 kvm-switch which is my 'general' mouse and it works fine.
I have another 'gaming' mouse which is an optical ps2 adapted through a usb adaptor into usb port and won't work at all, (the optical light is running, but no cursor movement).
Attempted fixes:
1. I have run 'mouseconfig' , chosen usbmouse ... nothing changed.
2. Attempted adding a second mouse section to xorg.conf, but do not think I had it setup right.
e.g.
Code:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mouse1"
# ( # /dev/mouse, uncomment /dev/psaux )
Option "Resolution" "300"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Buttons" "3"
EndSection
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse2"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mouse0"
Option "Buttons" "3"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection
3. Also, I read in another post to do this command:
dmesg | grep -i mouse, but I am not sure how to utilise the output?
Quote:
dmesg | grep -i mouse
input: Macintosh mouse button emulation as /devices/virtual/input/input0
mice: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice
input: ImPS/2 Generic Wheel Mouse as /devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input/input4

Could anyone please offer some pointers?
My O.S. environment: Slackware 12.1 +KDE3.5.10 +2.6.24.5smp
Thanks very much for any help
Cheers
