Question Dropline GNOME and xmodmap

I have my MX700 working in GNOME using xmodmap and imwheel, but I Can't seem to find how to get the setting to stick for Slackware. Which file do I need to edit?

Will it work if I put it in my .xinitrc if I default to gdm instead of doing startx?

~/.xinitrc doesn't get read if you login via gdm.

Create a file called ~/.xprofile and put your scripts in there.

Twas the only way I could run stuff at login.
