Glad to see you got it installed. I can say that here it loads slowly too, but when its loaded it works ok. And my mem usage is: 156MB.

Yes, you are right, it loads very slow, then it works. But what did you do that your memory usage is only 156 MB?

I have submitted to Pat a patch for the polkit problem, probably the root autentication is solved now in gnome-control-center

patches/packages/polkit-0.105-i486-4_slack14.0.txz: Rebuilt.
Reverted a patch that set the members of the wheel group as the
authorized administrators. On Slackware, root is the administrator
and the wheel group is mostly unused. Thanks to Gérard Monpontet.

Good to hear that. So we have one package less to supply. Many thanks, will test it and will see if it works well for us.

If you have not done it so, please re-run dropline-installer and you should get about 13 new updates. We are slowly approaching the RC state.

Ok peeps, we are now in a RC1 stage. Re-run dropline-installer and report back if any issues. Thanks to all and especially to gmgf for your help. Original announcement is here: http://www.droplinegnome.org/#147

2nankura,
Dropline tries to release the actual version of gnome for slackware. Currently it is being worked on the gnome 3 (gnome 3.6 is our first gnome3 release for slackware).
