droplin gnome.. beep media player???
I do not use gnome.. but I like to keep dropline gnome updated because they usually have some good packages. However the latest update install beep media player & removed xmms.
My question is.. beep media player will not play at all? Does or did anyone else have this problem after updating?? ryhthembox works fine.. as does mpg123... but bmp does not? Ive tried all the output settings to no avail. I would rather get bmp working.. if not I will install xmms again :) thanks trey |
Install XMMS again... BMP is kinda buggy.
Next time check the options when you are updating Dropline... in there, there is an option to not uninstall packages that are to be removed. That way XMMS will stay with you. It will still upgrade the other packages without a problem. RTFM. :study: |
RTFM... n00b!
lol sorry, i've (thankfully) not seen that very much on these forums. I've had no problem with beep, in fact just before the update i was wishing for an xmms gtk2 port, and after I upgraded it was a nice suprise. However i've had trouble finding plugins, can anyone help me out with some links? |
I reinstalled xmms.. it works fine.. id like to use bmp.. but ehh.. ohh well :)
