distcc

I just installed distcc on my 2 Linux boxes and now time to mess with it. Does this program use the full power on the available networked CPUs (I have a 450 MHz CPU and a 350 MHz CPU on my network...does distcc see 800 MHz is available?)?

I really don't know how to make a example in English... but you shouldn't see it as a big machine, but two helping each other...

It only helps when compiling software, not with everyday tasks like web browsing.

your network is too slow to make processors work together in real time.
you should do some reading about distcc.
( i mean, about what it is... )

So, it sounds like my network using distcc will move faster than my fastest pc (450 MHz) but slower than the combo of my networks cpus (800 MHz). Maybe 600 MHz. Is this right?
