Disable XFCE taskbar on Slack 10.2 with 2.6.18.5

Hi all,

Does anyone know how I can disable the taskbar in XFCE?

I don't use it, it takes up desktop real-estate and uses a process.

Many thanks,

Mark.

edit your .xinitrc and put a # in front of the line that has xftaskbar4 in it

you may find this post helpful too.

This FAQ from XFCE site will also be instructive:

http://www.xfce.org/index.php?page=d...ang=en#taskbar

You can remove the taskbar system-wide.
