Device mounting names in Slackware 14 vs. 13.37

In 13.37, when I mounted my backup USB hard drive, the system would automatically put it in /media/disk. Fair enough. In 14, it will be /media/a long strong of letters and numbers. I don't know if that's the drives serial number or what. Is there a way to make it less, umm, annoying? That is, more like 13.37?

It sounds like a UUID.

This article will tell you how to check whether it is the UUID or not:

If you want that long string of letters and numbers to go away, you can put the device in your fstab using the UUID. The link explains how.
