It looks like the compiz 0.8 branch has been picked up and is being actively developed again by long time contributor/code writer Scott Moreau. He updated compiz and all the companion packages to 0.8.10 a few months back. I would like to see compiz updated to 0.8.10 since 0.8.8 is now 4 years old. I am getting ready to submit all the companion package updates to SBo.org this evening but If you could pass the word up the food chain to Pat and see if he would consider either updating the compiz core package or dropping it altogether and giving it over to the community that would be great. I realize that most desktop environments have there own compositing window managers now but compiz is still great for Xfce and Mate-Desktop.
As mentioned by nobodino on page 6 of this thread, texinfo could be updated from 4.13a to 5.2
In support of this suggestion, I have external software which wants texi2any at build time. This is included in recent texinfo releases but not in the 4.13a version which, according to http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/texinfo/, dates back to 2008 (5.2 was released in 2013).
Mesa 10.6.0 is now available.
It's the three month effort of approximately 100 individuals, resulting
in well over 2000 commits. Big thanks to all the developers, testers,
bug-reporters and everyone else for their hard work !
