See changelog for 18 dec 04:

ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackwar.../ChangeLog.txt

It starts like this: " Hi folks. Well, I'm back in California and I'm happy to let you all know
that I'm feeling much better. :-) Here are a few updates so you can see
that I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully 10.1 won't
be too far off ..."

Excellent news, lets hope he keeps himself fit and healthy for many years to come. Patrick, take some time off, we can wait for the next release as long as we know you are well.

It does sound good. I wish he had given some specifics on his diagnosis and prognosis. I note that the only doctor he chooses to mention is apparently a cancer doctor, not sure if that has any meaning or not.
