default keyboard layout

When you install Slackware it gives you the choice to change your keyboard layout. I want to change it now but I have no idea how to go about it. I can easily change it in X for X, but I want to have a different layout for when I first startup Slackware. Any ideas?

Try a
man loadkeys
and decide whether that's what you're after.
If it is, create a file /etc/rc.d/rc.keymap
and load the keymap you want from there.

Cheers,
Tink
