dbus and bluez

Hello,
I seem to be having problem's with bluez pin authentication, and the dbus message system. I'm using bluez to connect with a keyboard. If I don't have rc.messagebus started I can connect it, and it stay's up and working. If I reboot, all is lost.

If rc.messagebus is running, I can't even have bluez see my dongle, let alone my keyboard.

I did read this thread about dbus and slack, but can't seem to figure this out.

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=405601

I also tried dbus-0.50 with no success.
Does this mean I can't use bluez in slackware?

thanks
chopp

I've got bluetooth working through a Belkin usb adapter and KDE bluetooth manager. I don't know about all the exact dependencies but I got it working through a combination of compiling packages from source and ready built one's from linuxpackages.net I've actually got dropline gnome installed too which installs dbus and hal and set's it up to run automatically although I don't know if this is an absolute requirement. I only use the bluetooth to connect to a mobile phone so don't know about bluetooth keyboards I haven't looked in to it in to much detail, just wanted to get it working for the one purpose and as quickly as possible.
