custom slackpack kernel-modules

A post answered on 11-19-2004 entitled "custom slackpack kernel" described a method of getting a custom compiled kernel into its own package.

What about the modules package; how do I do that? also when would I need my own headers.tgz ??

Im a long-time programmer but with only a little toying-around linux experience; (compiled kernel, etc).
