After getting the latest batch of updates, I found that my Slack-current laptop no longer automounts USB disks. On my XFCE desktop, I now get a permanent "floppy" icon (no idea why), but that can not be mounted as user, as only root can mount floppies.
In the console messages, I see this:
Code:
Error creating proxy: Error calling StartServiceByName for org.gtk.vfs.UDisks2VolumeMonitor:
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ChildExited: Process org.gtk.vfs.UDisks2VolumeMonitor

So, suddenly Thunar no longer knows anything about usb-storage or disks ?
For clarity, my USB disks worked just fine before the update. And when I check dmesg, the kernel does show messages about the USB disk being connected, and I can mount it the old-fashioned way as root (mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/usbdisk). It's only the "automounting-fuser-magic" that no longer works.
Any idea how to fix this ?
Thx,
David
