Cross Platform WYSIWYG html editor

I have a bunch of web pages to edit here at home using Slack 10.2 Linux (kernel 2.4.31) and at work using WinXP. I found a nice cross platform open source html editor that is WYSIWYG:

-no compilation needed!!

Yup, that's been touted around for quite a while now, but glad you to find it to your liking

Mozilla Composer is also cross platform (nvu is a descendent of Composer), but I don't really like it.
