I just installed Slackware 9.0 on my system. I had some problems getting the mouse to work in the beginning but was finally able to configure the X server to work with it(its a Logitech iFeel USB mouse btw). The only problem is that I cannot reboot my system with this mouse plugged in. I have to unplug it, reboot, then plug it back in once the system has booted or I will get a crc error on boot. I am able to use the USB mouse and keyboard without problems once the system has booted up but its annoying to have to unplug the mouse to reboot. Does anybody have any ideas?

CRC error? CRC as in Cyclical Redundancy Checks? Are you really sure about this?

I'm not doubting you, but I use a similar mouse as yours (same protocol, USB, also by Logitech) and I don't have any problems booting up with it. And usually crc errors are due to filesystem problems.

I'd suggest running fsck and badblocks on your hard disk via a rescue CD or on another working machine.
