coupe of simple questions...


hi, how to install true type fonts (the windows fonts) in slackware?
sorry for the newbie question...

is there a program for linux that shows the name/model for my hardware?

?#1 -- Fonts Sorry, don't know

?#2 -- hardware IDentify - as seen by current kernel

Try the command, lspci
man lspci for all available options.

just put your fonts in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF ... pretty sure you have to be su and they have to be ttf format

kinfo center is a good gui tool that's kinna like aida
