Correct form to install one perl program in slackware


Hello,

I have one question about instructions, to install one perl program ( correct form in slackware ) is more interesting install for cpan or create packages install .... ( I no have know about default mode in slackware )

Slackware mode use cpan or create packages ????

( I'm sorry my english )

I tend to use cpan or look to see if there's a slackbuild at slackbuilds.org.

If you're trying to install a Perl module (like you find on CPAN), cpan2tgz seems to work well.

cpan if you don't want to use Slackware's installpkg, removepkg

But if you want to use Slackware's (installpkg, removepkg, etc.) then you'll need to use either cpan2tgz

or a "perl" build script for a relevant "perl" module:

src2pkg will create a great package from perl modules sources with just this:
src2pkg tarball-name.
