coreutils with acl support

He people,

I'm trying to get ACL working on slackware 10.1 kernel 2.4.29.
I patched the kernel with the ACL patch (cl+nfsacl+sec-0.8.73).
After that I installed attr package + acl package + pam on my system.

I downloaded the coreutils source, first the original, after that the slack source.
Before running coreutils.Slackbuild I modified it so it will apply the patches needed to support the ACL features (a + sign after the rights when you do ls -l, etc).

These are the patches I applied in this order:

coreutils-5.2.1.dif
coreutils-acl.diff
coreutils-acl+posix.diff
coreutils-5.0-pam-env.patch
coreutils-i18n.patch
coreutils-i18n-sort.patch
coreutils-sysinfo.diff
coreutils-xattr.diff

the first one with p0 the others with p1. Everything went fine.

After building I installed the coreutils package by running upgradepkg --reinstall coreutils.tgz

But when I try to see if it works I don't get the extra features.

Is there someone who can tell me what I do wrong? Or maybe someone has a good working coreutils with acl support package for me.

Thanx in advance

[Edit]Off-course I mounted my partitions with the acl attribute.[/edit]

I suppose that you know that the "setfacl" and "getfacl" commands are available from the xfsprogs package?

What happens if you do something like this?:

setfacl -m user:johndoe:r-- test.txt
getfacl test.txt

(Replace johndoe with a username known on the system.)
