contents of /testing/source/linux-2.6.x on slackware install cd 2


hello, is there any way to use the config-2.6.10 config in the /testing/source/linux-2.6.x directory on the second slackware install cd?
i know that has to be one of the most noobish question ever but i need help. thanks

Copy it to /usr/src/linux-2.6.10/.config . After installing the package.

EDIT:
another question. Do you install the 2.6.10 kernel when you install slackware or is there a way to compile it after the install? I ran the shell script and it made a couple of folders in /tmp but what do i do with those?

You can install the precompiled kernel+modules package (stuff will appear in /boot and /lib/modules), and/or you can install the source package to compile yourself (stuff will appear in /usr/src). The .tgz packages should be on the cd. Take a look at this compile guide.
