Connection to localhost refused?!?
 
When I try connecting to my own machine via Telnet, it refuses the connection. I'm using 2.4.26 I think.

The telnet server is disabled by default in Slackware. If you try to connect to the telnet server it will fail :)

Edit your /etc/inetd.conf and uncomment the telnet line. Then restart inetd. But telnet is insecure, better use sshd ...

Hmm, it's still refusing the connection. I rebooted aswell. I shouldn't need an internet connection should I? Since it is a local machine. Any other suggestions?
