connect to pc's

I have two machines: one with xp and other with slackware. How can I configure my fstab to connect the computers. They are connect by a lan.

first start a samba server on linux and then map ur network drives in fstab
edit the /etc/samba/smb.conf-example to /etc/samba/smb.conf
and make necessary changes

also if u only want to map ur win drives in linux then u need to use the smbfs filesystem,samba server is not req. there
