I think it is indicative of the level of interest, support and cooperation prevalent amongst Slackware users.

Slackware encourages users to explore their system; and, sometimes, in order to get some aspect of their system working properly, users gain a great deal of knowledge about their system and how an operating system interacts with it.

At least, this has been my experience.

Maybe it's just an indication for the fact that
Slack was a very early distro to get a forum
of it's own? ... just an idea
