Conflicting USB mouse & usb pendrive on Slackware 11.0
Hi,
i had a PS2 mouse which i changed to usb optical one from HP. Although i could get it working, When i put my usb pendrive in the other usb slot, the pendrive just stops working along with the mouse. The pendrive used to work perfectly when i had the PS2 mouse. Now currently I have reverted back to PS2 mouse. Any idea on what to do. The pendrive and usb mouse seem to be incompatible. Arun. |
This seems more to be a H/W problem IMHO. If you put in any other pendrive does it work?
Also, could you show output of dmesg when you connect pendrive ? |
Hi,
i can see the contents of the pendrive. It's when i copy folders/files the mouse and pendrive freeze. i am posting some lines of the dmesg output : -----> Linux Kernel Card Services 3.1.22 options: [pci] [cardbus] [pm] isapnp: Scanning for PnP cards... isapnp: No Plug & Play device found Intel ISA PCIC probe: not found. There seems to be some problem with the disk.
what does fdisk /dev/sda say? I think it is not formatted properly. maybe you could reformat, make a new partition and do mkfs.<whateverfs>? |
