configuring usb ethernet in slackware 13 64bit

can someone help me out I can't seem to get slackware to reconize my adapter

unplug the adapter, plug it in again, and post the last part from the output from dmesg an lsusb:

Welcome to LQ!

Along with the other suggestion(S) please post the output of 'ifconfig -a', 'lspci -vv' and your '/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf'.
Please use the vbcode tags # or quote.

sorry guys but i took the easy route and installed ubuntu.

If that is the easiest route for you...
I never liked ubuntu, but that's my personal opinion, and it's good to have some choices available.

Good luck with ubuntu, and I hope this one problem didn't scare you away from slackware for good...
