Configuring Laptop Monitor

Hi,

I just bought a laptop. What should I choose for the Monitor setting? How can I be sure that it is the right one. It's a 15in monitor. I don't want to blow my new screen.

It's a Desknote actually. A portable Desktop in a notebook case without batteries and hence the term Desknote. Cheap, fast and cool.

I've always had good luck using the "Non Interlaced monitor that can do 1024x768, 800x600" Thats probably not the exact name.
