Common user access to mounted partitions?


How do a common user access mounted partitions?
I have lots of stuff at my /mnt/hda4 and I want to have access to that directory. I worked before but now I only have access to the root at /mnt/hda4

is hda4 a native file system or fat32? if it's a windows partition, you can force the entire rights by adding "umask=000" to the option for it's /etc/fstab entry. if it's native then you can change the access rights on there with a recursive chmod command, IF it's just standard data and nothing complex.
