Clicking on links in email program

I'm using slack 10.0. I use thunderbird for email. When I click on a link in a mail message, the program saves the info but doesn't open a web browser to go to the link. Any answers?

Thanks

what version of thunderbird? i seem to remember having that problem in slackware before the latest thunderbird came out.

check in tools/options/attachments and see if html docs are associated with a browser you have installed and if the path is right.

This is the solution to your problem. I have done it and it works like a charm.
From the "K" button go to System --> Configuration Editor ( this will open GConf editor)
Then Click on --> apps --> desktop --> gnome --> url-handlers.
Look for a folder "http" and also "https". Open the command and you will find that there is the name of the current program edit it to the path of yours. In my case "/home/ralvez/firefox/firefox %s"
That's it.
Hope this helps.
