clamav and amavisd-new for sendmail

Hi

i've currently got sendmail set up on my laptop.

I'm going to implement some virus prevention and looked at clamav from the SlackBuilds repository as i find them really useful and much easier to get software set up.

I just wondered, though, if using amavisd-new with clamav and sendmail is a better option. SlackBuilds suggest using it so thought i'd ask what everyone else is using.

I'm tempted just to use clamav, as there isn't a slackbuild for amavisd-new and i don't want to screw things up by trying to build it myself. is this recommended, and if not does anyone have any tips on setting it up properly?

Cheers, Jamie

i prefer the clamav-milter approach.

Hi,

I also tried to setup amavisd-new without any success then i went to clamav-milter. Every thing is nicely running without particular problems for setting it up.

Bye
