Chrome in XFCE 'Enter Password for keyring "Default" to Unlock'
 

That's what I get every time I boot chrome. Slackware-14.2 installed, Chrome is installed with the slackbuild on the 14.2 cdrom in extra/

I never set up any security nonsense in what is a home pc, and it's certainly not looking for user passwords because I tried those. If I close the window, it reappears 5 times. Then chrome works.

What should I set up?

I have the exact thing going on and it is annoying as all get out!

I talked to a member named askfor in post # 12 he says to remove the gnome keyring.;)

Let me know if it works for you:-

Chrome and Chromium want to store your passwords in a safe way, which means either the Gnome Keyring or KWallet.
If you do not agree to the default choice (based on the Desktop Environment you are running) then you can add "--password-store=basic" to the commandline of Chrome (or Chromium).
That will use a plaintext local disk file to store information instead of an encrypted keystore/wallet.

FWIW, chrome isn't impressing me much. I wanted a browser, it keeps trying to pretend it's an OS. Google Earth says I needed it for google-earth. I'll have to go at that again when I get the patience.
