Question checkinstall question


hi slackers, I always use checkinstall for my compiling works and evrything is fine ..only one thing...how can I do to make checkinstall -not- installing the package created automatically? I'd like to install the package created when I please , can I pass some command or modify the script ?

You can change a value in the file checkinstallrc

There's lots of comments in the file and if you look around in it you'll see

# Install the package or just create it?
INSTALL=1

Change that to 0 instead of 1 and it wont install the packages but just build them.
