This has been patched as of the ChangeLog.txt for Slackware version 8.1 dated 01/19/03 and last checked today [01/21/03].
CL says "...no exploits are known yet." for this vulnerability. (Which doesn't mean one should avoid patching, of course.)

Slackware8.1 - patches ChangeLog.txt:
