Catalyst 10.3 won't compile

I've downloaded and tried to install the newest ATI driver, but I get this error when I try to build packages:

Code:

./packages/Slackware/ati-packager.sh: line 56: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `]'
./packages/Slackware/ati-packager.sh: line 406: syntax error: unexpected end of file

I extracted the package and am pretty sure I found the source of the error (a missing ]) but I'm unsure of how to repackage the installer after correcting it. I did a google search and at least one other person has had this error: http://www.phoronix.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=28

Any suggestions?

You don't need to repakge.
You could use the install script

Hmmm I guess you're right... I'll have to figure out how to point it to the files I've extracted instead of it using the files it extracts itself

I can't figure out how to use the install script on the extracted files. Anyone?

if you are on slackware current, dont bother with the 10.3 drivers, they wont work on xorg 7.5 (xorgsever 1.7) anyway.
Otherwise, you can simply correct the bash script as you see fit, then cd into the package directory and run

./ati-installer.sh 8.xxx --buildpkg Slackware/All

which has the same effect as building the slackware packages straight from the downloaded .run file.

I am using Slackware current, however its not newest current, so I guess I'll have to check that first. I also recall trying something similar to the ./ati-installer.sh 8.xxx --buildpkg Slackware/All but I'll try it again tonight.

EDIT: I checked the xorgserver version and it is 7.5 so I guess I'll wait until the next Catalyst driver is released
