Cannot start X after upgrading to xorg-server 1.8.1

I'm using slackware-current and I followed the instructions on how to upgrade the xorg-server from 1.7.7 to 1.8.1.

But when I tried to start X, there's the error:

Cannot find module "intel" (module requirement mismatch)
Cannot find module "vesa" (module requirement mismatch)
Cannot find module "fbdev" (module does not exist)

It looked like I have to recompile the whole X package, but I don't know how to recompile the package as well on which package to recompile.

Thanks for guiding...

It looks like you need to upgrade your intel driver too.

@ponce:Thanks for the information.I did manage to start X after installing the new xorg server.

But now I have another problem. When I close my laptop lid and reopen it,blank screen will appear and I'm forced to restart X.

I'm using intel GM45 chipset, and xf86-video-intel 2.12 now after upgrading my xorg server.I thought I can solve the problem by upgrading the xorg server but obviously I'm wrong.
