Can Slackware ARM run on Akitio MyCloud Mini?

I got this NAS and it is failing to respond as intended. I googled a bit and found this thread on trying to put Arch Linux ARM on it.

AFAIK, if Arch is successful there's no reason Slackware ARM shouldn't. But can it be done?

Thoughts and hints are welcome!

Thanks in advance,
gtludwig

Yes, all of the packages are built for armv5te so they'll run on this device. You'll need to sort out a kernel for yourself, but it seems like the people in that thread have already got there so it might not be too hard.
There are many people who use kernels from other distributions to run Slackware ARM - and you could probably get started pretty quickly by putting the kernel and modules in to the mini root filesystem and running depmod inside of it.
