Can't write to encrypted Windows partition (truecrypt)

My Windows partition is using system encryption (preboot authentication) and I'm trying to access it in Linux.

I run this command:
Code:
sudo truecrypt --mount --password="MYPASSWORD" --mount-options="system" --fs-options="umask=000" /dev/sda4 /mnt/windows
The partition mounts fine, but I can't write to it.
Code:
# touch /mnt/windows/test
touch: cannot touch `/mnt/windows/test': Permission denied
Any ideas?

The TrueCrypt documentation has some information on mounting your drives from another operating system. (that link goes to the relevant section) I would check your settings against those listed options, mainly the second to last one "Mount partition using system encryption without pre-boot authentication". If those settings are correct I would try using the Linux TrueCrypt software to mount the Windows drive and if you are able to read/write the files you can try and replicate the settings in your mount command.

Edit: Also, have you tried creating the file as root? (not just mounting with the root command)

Thanks for the reply.

I had to specify the filesystem with "--filesystem=ntfs-3g"
I guess that's needed for the "--fs-options" to work.

So the full command I used was:
Code:
sudo truecrypt --mount --password=MYPASS --mount-options=system --filesystem=ntfs-3g --fs-options=umask=000 /dev/sda4 /mnt/windows
Solved
