I installed F-Prot on my file/print server running Slackware 10. When I try to run update.pl I get an error from CPAN telling me to install HTTP Request. I can run the scan from CLI no problem there, but when I try to run update.pI from my crontab or the CLI I still get the same error. I run CPAN and re-install all module, still get the same error. I re-install Perl and I still get the same error.
Any idea has to what I am doing wrong, Am I missing a step? Any one knows if there is a problem between CPAN and Slack 10?
I ran CPAN once more so I could give the exact error here it is;
Failed 1/41 test scripts, 97.56% okey. 1/761 subtests failed, 99.87% okay.
make: *** [ test } Error 255
/usr/bin/make test -- NOT OK
Running make install
make test had returned a bad status, won't install without force
I did try installing using force and I still get the same error
I was really trying to found out if I was going something wrong but from your post, I can see that others had the same problem. I guess I will write the script to get it going. Thanks again for the info.
Just to let you know. I finally was able to get F-Prot check-updates.pl running. All I can say is that I was doing everything right just not often enough!!!! I had to run the following from the CPAN shell 5 times before it worked.
