Can't Connect to a PPTP VPN Server in NetworkManager

I've just installed Slackware 64 bit on my laptop. Everything runs smoothly except when I attempt to connect to a PPTP VPN server. I've connected to this server before running NetworkManager in openSUSE, but when I try it in Slackware, I get the following error message:

Feb  5 19:59:15 linux-a614 NetworkManager[1923]: <warn> VPN service 'pptp' exited with error: 127
Feb  5 19:59:21 linux-a614 NetworkManager[1923]: <warn> VPN service 'pptp' start timed out
I have NetworkManager
