Canīt see certain files/dirs in debian partition

Hey I was just wondering how to hide files (Appart from the obvious .) When I am using slackware and I go to my debian (sarge) partition some things donīt show up even when change to root (in slack) examples are it doesnīt show user folders in the home directory or the grub directory inside /boot

I am just curious.

err.. this might sound stupid but are your /home and /boot on different filesystems/partitions and you didn't mount them on slack??

Hey mirradric I didnīt do anything like that, but I just double checked (had a look in the debian fstab) to make sure and no.

I am using reiserfs on all my linux partitions (except of course my swap partition)

Thanks for the idea anyway, it wasnīt stupid.
