Okay i am trying to isntall slack and i am getting an error at the 'target' stage of the setup. After i set up the swap, i try to set my hdb6 as my root and format it using reiserfs but then i get these weird msgs which i think are error msgs..not really sure...it's quite long with bunch of weird codes but the first line says general protection fault or something similar.....any help??
okay i will type out how it's partitioned....

OKay i had to type these out...so there might be mistakes...but this is how it's set up now
what do u mean?? i am planning to use the GB partitions for /usr and /var but i don't understand why it can't format these partitions and give me general protection fault : 0000
all right....it worked after giving me can't find fat system and can't find yada yada ya msgs.....so i guess it's my partition problem after all....um any ideas how i can repartition this without losing my 44 gb of data?? thanks
Yeah I see that hdb8 sitting there...how about using a smaller drive for root (like 1-4gb), then using the other partitions on hdb for /usr, /var, etc.
