Can't get serial ports after upgraded Kernel

Hi all,

I just upgraded to Kernel 2.6.11.11 . And I couldn't find my serial ports anymore. Do I have to recompile my kernel?? and where can I enable this option in my .config file??

Many thanks

It's on Device Drivers -> Character Devices -> Serial Drivers
If you're using a mouse you also need to select Device Drivers -> Input device support -> Mice -> Serial mouse

If you compiled support in as a module, you may need to issue the command
modprobe 8250

this should in turn load serial_core

I found this to be the case when I wanted to connect a serial device
