can't find gnome-config while running ./configure on gnucash
I'm running a Slackware 9.1 system with all packages installed.
When running ./configure on gnucash I'm running into an error saying that it cannot find gnome-config. I ran a "find / gnome-config" and came up empty, so I guess this is a case of the file not even existing and not a path issue. Gnome is fully installed on my machine and capable of running (although I use fluxbox as my primary desktop environment). Any suggestions? |
erm yes... install it... gnome-devel. note that this is ***NOT*** gnome2-devel. that is for a different version of gnome, so chances are you will be reqierd to install the base libraries for gnome 1.

I installed the gnome libraries for 1.4.2, but am now having this error spit back at me:
checking for gnome-config... /usr/local/bin/gnome-config Unknown library `xml' checking for xmlNewDoc in -lxml... Unknown library `xml' no Would this be caused by using the wrong library files? Or is this error not related to gnome-config and the gnome libary dependancy? |
