Question Can't Connect to wifi after some disconnection: RTL8191SEvB

I can not connect to WiFi network after some disconnection. for example I disconnect because of suspending system. after three or four times suspend, I can not connect again, and I have to reboot my laptop to connect again. I tried to restart the NetworkManager too, But the problem didn't go.

Hardware: RTL8191SEvB Wireless LAN Controller
Version: Current. (But had problem on stable too)

Try turning suspend off. Set it to 'never' or completely disable 'suspend'.
Over the years I've seen several threads where suspend creates issue's.

The wicd connection manager might be another way to go instead of Network Mgr if you want to set it up and try it.

You might be able to compile the driver from realtek in Slackware. You can easily make a proper Slackware package using src2pkg.

***I'd try disabling or setting suspend to never first and see if the issue goes away first.***

What DE are you running?

The RTL8191SE uses the rtl8192se kernel module.
Try unloading and reloading the kernel module with, as root,
Code:
rmmod rtl8192se; modprobe rtl8192se
Some hardware seems to need this after a suspend.

The kernel module also has some power save options, that you could experiment with.
From '/sbin/modinfo rtl8192se'
Quote:
parm: ips:Set to 0 to not use link power save (default 1)
(bool)
parm: swlps:Set to 1 to use SW control power save (default 1)
(bool)
parm: fwlps:Set to 1 to use FW control power save (default 0)
(bool)

If you still have issue's after following allend's instruction dmesg the driver.

Code:
dmesg <name of driver>
