Call for Tester: MSB with Slackpkg+

Hi all,

I have updated the gen repo script and updated the MSB directory structure which should make MSB searchable and manageable from slackpkg+ (a fantastic tool by zerouno as a complement of slackpkg), but before i pushed the update to the official repository, i wanted to make sure it works for everyone else.

For that, i created a new directory in my server that serves as a temporary directory for testing purposes. In this directory, there will be a separate MSB packages for each architecture (32/64 bit).

You can see the tutorial on how to make MSB works with slackpkg+ on my blog post.

Let me (and Chess Griffin) know if it's not yet working on your system.

PS: This repository is intended for Slackware-14.0 and Slackware64-14.0 users only, we do not support Slackware-Current users. They can build the packages from our GIT repository instead due to the fact that Slackware-Current is a moving target.

Thanks

Hi Willy,

Nice thing. Looks like slackpkg+ encourages the creation of third party repos for Slackware.

There's a typo in your blog page. The 64-bit section contains the link for the 32-bit version.

Cheers,

Niki

Not encouraging new third party repos, but the available third party repos are now adapting with how slackpkg+ works so that they are manageable via one tool: slackpkg

Thanks, Fixed :)
