Burning .DMG


How do i convert dmg files to a iso and burn them. i have already checked out this LINK
and when i typed in that command i got

Code:
bash: hdiutil: command not found
so is there a program or something where i can convert .DMG files into a iso and burn them in K3B?

thanks for any help

hdiutil is a Mac OS/X utility. It *may* be included with Darwin BSD for PC's, but IIRC, Apple has stopped developping and supporting Darwin.

.dmg is basically an ISO that's been compressed. A quick stopover at Google revealed this website:
http://vu1tur.eu.org/tools/

There, you can download a perl script that claims to convert dmg files to iso. There's also a windows binary version of the script.

ok thanks for the info but how do i install that peral script?

My guess is that you don't need to. You just download it, and invoke it from command line after setting the right permission.

If you want to "install" it, just put it in your path with executable permissions. You can also look at the source to see how it works, because it probably works with tools that you've already got installed.
