Have you had any issues with any kernel 2.6.x releases?
No problems at all. I've been running 2.6.7 on a production server since it was released. Mind you, on the two servers I have it launched on, one is an application server and the other is a pure database backend server -- both are pounded relentlessly almost all day long. However, I do not run anything in an X graphical environment, I don't use sound, or even a mouse on these things. But, if you're wondering about stability -- well, no question there. :-)
